The advent of multimedia has had a profound impact on the various media services such as advertising, film production, etc. In the present scenario, commercial artists who are familiar with computing technology have a wide range of opportunities in these market segments. 

Computer Artists can offer consultancy services to architects, interior decorators for visualizing 3D architectures, textile industry, fashion designers, publishing industry, education and training industry, tourism development, industrial design. They can also provide visualization support to film-makers.

The internet and its diverse applications encompassing every field and aspect of life has created numerous opportunities for the Web Page Designers. Besides Software Development Organizations, the Computer Animation Industry is in great need of Computer Artists. 

The unique Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts is undoubtedly a boon to the requirement of all these industries.

Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts (DACA) is a one year fulltime course. to be delivered in PHYSICAL mode. There are up to 40 seats available at centre offering the course.
1. DACA is well established course for website design, UI / UX, 2D and 3D animation gaming and product modelling.

2. Each term has a project work and student portfolio development and presentation during the third term

3. DACA course is delivered by experts from design and animation industry.

  • 10+2, M.F.A., B.F.A.,B.Arch, G.D. Arts, Engineering, Science, Arts and Commerce stream or other equivalent degree or diploma holders in the field of Advertising, Commercial Arts, Painting, Sculpture, Textile, Fashion Designing, Interior Decoration  OR
  • Students from other academic backgrounds having artistic inclination and creative abilities are also encouraged to do this course. But they must qualify through the Entrance Test. 
  • Applicants need to have basic Knowledge of using computers.

Module-III: 2D Animation (180 hrs)

Principles of animation

Squash and Stretch,  Anticipation, Staging, Straight Ahead Action and Pose to Pose, Follow Through and Overlapping Action, Slow In and Slow Out, Arc, Secondary Action, Timing, Exaggeration, Solid drawing, Appeal, Character Development, Character Model sheet, Visualization of different views, How to Draw Expressions, How to make Story-board, Story Board design, Camera visualization

After effect

Introduction to After Effects interface, Time line nonlinear editing, Video editing (Includes correct video setting), Character Animation (Rigging of character), Constrain of rigging, Typography Animation, Adding sound, Trimming and editing Video, Colour Correction, Exporting Video output.

Digital Audio

Basic Qualities of Sound, Digitization of Sound, Sound re-sampling, editing and mixing of WAV audio, Introduction to various File Formats.

The DACA course will be conducted in fully Physical mode at the training centre.

The total course fee is Rs. 1,00,000/- plus Goods and Service Tax as applicable as per GOI.

The course fee has to be paid in two installments as per the schedule.

  • The first installment is INR. 10,000/- plus Goods and Service Tax as applicable by GOI.
  • The second installment is INR. 90,000/- plus Goods Service Tax as applicable by GOI.

The course fee includes expenses towards delivering classes, conducting examinations, final mark-list and certificate, and placement assistance provided.

Candidates may take note that no Demand Draft (DD) or cheque or cash will be accepted at any C-DAC training centre towards payment of any installment of course fees.

The candidate can register and apply for DACA course using an online application form by providing basic communication and education details.

 A form number will be generated after registration and password as set by the candidates.

The form number and password will be used for the candidates to complete the application form. The candidate need to select the date for appearing for the CET.

Candidates need to upload the latest PHOTOGRAPH using the Photo upload facility.

The candidate need to make payment for application fees using the payment gateway.

C-DAC’s Common Entrance Test

The C-DAC Common Entrance Test (CET) for the admission to Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts shall be conducted as per the given schedule on the website. The CET would be conducted manually at the centers mentioned in the application form. Candidate can undergo the examination at center after receipt of the application fees of Rs.600/- using online payment gateway.


The CET of three hours shall consist of test comprising of 5 questions. Each question shall carry twenty mark total of 100 marks. CET will test the visualization abilities, artistic skills and knowledge relating to communication media.

 Syllabus

1. Exam for DACA will try to test the visualization abilities, artistic skills & knowledge relating to communication media.
2. Following type of questions will be included in the paper:

  • Visualization of story board (Series of pictures depicting a story)
  • Designing icons for communicating different concepts
  • Visualization of objects from different view points and
  • Descriptive questions (such as description of an event)

No special preparation is required for appearing for the CET. The students may bring pencils, pens and dry colour (Colour pencils or crayons only). It is not mandatory to use colours.
