students of 10 standard after completion of DDA are also eligible for the course. Students from other academic backgrounds having artistic inclination and creative abilities are also encouraged to do this course. But they must qualify through the Entrance Test. Applicants need to have basic knowledge of using computers.
C-DACs application form for the DACA course can be downloaded by clicking on (DACA Application form). The non-refundable application fee of Rs.600/- is to be paid by DD drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of ‘C-DAC, ACTS’ payable at Pune and submitted at training centre along with application form.
The Selection process leading to confirmed admission is as described below:
C-DAC Common Entrance Test (CET)
The C-DAC Common Entrance Test (CET) for the admission to Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts shall be conducted as per the given schedule on the website. The CET would be conducted manually at the centers mentioned in the application form. Candidate can undergo the examination at center after receipt of the application fees of Rs.600/- along with the application form at training centre.
The CET of three hours shall consist of test comprising of 5 questions. Each question shall carry twenty mark total of 100 marks. CET will test the visualization abilities, artistic skills and knowledge relating to communication media.
Syllabus :
Exam for DACA will try to test the visualization abilities, artistic skills & knowledge relating to communication media.
Following type of questions will be included in the paper:
Visualization of story board (Series of pictures depicting a story)
Designing icons for communicating different concepts
Visualization of objects from different view points and
Descriptive questions (such as description of an event)
No special preparation is required for appearing for the CET. The students may bring pencils, pens and dry colour (Colour pencils or crayons only). It is not mandatory to use colours.
Declaration of result The result of the CET will be displayed on the website along with the rank of the candidates on the day of the result mentioned in the schedule. A message clearly indicating whether the candidate has qualified for in each section will be displayed along with the rank.
The total fees for the course is Rs. 79,000/-(Rupees Seventy Nine Thousand only) to be paid by Demand Drafts drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favor of “C-DAC, ACTS” and payable at Pune. The course fee is inclusive of the course material to be provided to the individual student. The course fees is to be paid on or before the schedule mentioned on the website.
