System Area Network:
A SAN (System Area Network)
is a type of network that provides high bandwidth, low latency
communication. A SAN is normally used to interconnect nodes
within a distributed computer system, such as a cluster.
These systems are members of a common administrative domain
and are usually within close physical proximity. SAN have
very low error rates and it must scale under load.
HTDG is currently working
on products based on the VI Architecture specification.
These include high-performance SAN interface cards and high-speed,
scalable switches for these SANs.
