Operation and Management of Centre for e-Governance

CeG showcases advancement in ICT domain especially in e-Governance & Digital India by demonstrating applications from states, central line ministries, MeitY organizations and other implementing agencies with an aim of rapid replication of such successful projects. In addition, it is meant to be a staging platform for cutting edge and emerging technology areas that are part of MeitY mandate and are of relevance to other ICT domain including electronics, Indian Language Solutions, emerging technologies in ICT domains and solutions for differently abled.

The basic objective of the project is to be a single window facility to act as a repository and knowledge sharing with respect to various Digital India and e-Governance initiatives. Managing the various CeG facilities in MeitY is only one of the components, besides this there are various technical interventions required such as identification of projects to be showcased so as to result in rapid replication.

The Centre has been running smoothly and has also disseminated the outcome of Digital India Program to more than 10000 students / faculty members (from April 2015 to March, 2021) in addition to various Government Officials and international delegations. Also, design and development of CeG website & online quiz application, regular promotion of MeitY e-governance initiatives through social media platform, creation of user friendly contents etc.is being done on regular basis.

Use Cases
  • Institutions/ Organizations can submit their request online to schedule their e-Governance Workshop/ Seminar.
  • Project Manager can accept/ reject/ re-schedule the received requests for scheduling the e-Governance Workshop/ Seminar.
  • Visitors can take part in an online quiz based on the questions asked from around the topics/ subjects covered under the e-Governance Workshop/ Seminar.
  • Visitors will be issued an online certificate for their participation in the e-Governance Workshop/ Seminar.
  • Visitors can submit their valuable feedbacks about their visit to the Centre for e-Governance (CeG) through any of the different available modes.
Salient Features
  • The Application has been audited from the Cert-In empanelled Security Audit Service provider.
  • The Application has been hosted in secure cloud infrastructure (separate VMs for Web as well as Database).
  • The Application has been made responsive using Bootstrap framework.
  • Institute will get due intimation through email of any information regarding visit to Centre for e-Governance (CeG), MeitY.
