Centre for Development of Advanced Computing
(C-DAC) recently participated in the ELITEX (Electronic & Information Technology Exposition) 2002 Exhibition -cum-Seminar held during April 29-30, 2002 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

ELITEX 2002, which focused on "Enhancing e-readiness" provided C-DAC the opportunity to showcase its expertise in eGovernance solutions and applications, Multilingual Technology products, which included ISM 2000, iPlugin, GIST Software development Kit (SDK) and Dynamic Fonts, DVD MPEG II based Video Products and News Automation System.

C-DAC also launched its OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Software: Chitrankan, at the Exposition. Chitrankan was formally launched by Shri. Pramod Mahajan, Hon'ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.

ELITEX 2002, initiated by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, attracted participation from several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Societies of DeitY.
