    <title>C-DAC reaffirms India's position on supercomputing map with PARAM Yuva - II</title>

    <summary>Shri J. Satyanarayana, Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt of India launched PARAM Yuva - II, the new 500 TeraFlop version of its earlier PARAM Yuva at C-DAC Pune, today. Shri Satyanarayana dedicated the new and powerful supercomputer to the High Performance Computing (HPC) user community in the country. With this launch, C-DAC also becomes the first RandD institution in India to cross the 500 TF milestone. The launch of PARAM Yuva II was conducted as part of the Workshop on National Mission on Supercomputing being organized by C-DAC, Pune. </summary>

    <summary>Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) one of the premier RND organization of the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Govt. of India announced a collaboration with National Institute of Technology, Silchar (NITS) by signing an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). NITS, Identified as a Centre of Excellence by the Government of India, is undertaking very optimistic developmental programs towards modernization of laboratories and computing facilities. NITS understands that use of advanced technologies which provide extensive scope for the students to attain a very high standard required in present day fast changing scenario of technology.</summary>

    <title>C-DAC to release three new products on 26<sup>th</sup> Foundation Day </title>

    <summary>Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) announced the release of three new products from their R and D stable on the eve of their 26th Foundation Day, at a press conference today. The products will be formally released on April 11, 2013 at the hands of Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra as part of the 26th Foundation Day celebrations. The three products that will be released are T-Learning Suite, an interactive enabling technology for education on the broadcast media, Bio-Chemistry Analyser, an automatic medical laboratory instrument for analysing blood samples, and EDGE (Enterprise Wide Self-Managed Network Solution), an indigenously developed network management and monitoring solution".</summary>

    <summary>Now citizens can apply for an array of government services including grievance redressal, municipal services, birth and death, caste and domicile certificates with the help of their cell phones. Currently there are two types of services being offered on the mobile platform- one, status tracking for the service already applied for, and two, applying for a service.</summary>
