Special IT Training Programme for the Enhancement of Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class Candidates for the State of Tripura

Directorate for Welfare of SCs and OBCs (Planning Section), Government of Tripura and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in Association with National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala have jointly taken initiative to offer 2 Months Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (ADIT) programme to 25 candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Back Ward Classes (OBC). The objective of this programme is to provide career opportunities for the SC and OBC students in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industry.

About C-DAC Centre of Excellence National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala

Towards boosting industry-academia partnership for research and development as well as facilitating high end training programme in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the National Institute of Technology, Agartala has signed a MoU with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing(C-DAC), a scientific society under the Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India on October 29, 2009 at Agartala.

The MoU envisages strategic collaboration between the two organizations for research and development in areas such as e-Learning, semantic web etc. and high-end non-formal training programmes in Information and Communication Technologies.

These high-end career-oriented IT training programmes designed and developed by the Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) Education and Training Group of C-DAC will assists the students in molding their skills based on the requirements of the IT industry thereby providing an advantage in placements and in their career path. The syllabus of the programmes are designed based on industry inputs and the IT training programmes have been developed taking the latest technologies in consideration.

Minimum Qualification Eligibility:

  • 12th pass or equivalent / preferable Graduation in any stream


Mandatory Eligibility Requirements:

  • Candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Class (OBC) Only
  • Domicile of State of Tripura
