The Hallmarking Unique Identity (HUID) AHC Automation ecosystem has brought prestigious recognition to C-DAC. On March 19, 2026, the project won the Gold Award in the Digital Identity & Authentication Innovation category at the The Economic Times GovTech Awards 2026. The award was presented by Shri Mauvin Godinho, Minister for Transport, Industries, Trade and Commerce, Panchayati Raj, Protocol & Hospitality, and Legislative Affairs of Goa.

Developed by the C-DAC Noida e-Governance group for the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the HUID system is a first-of-its-kind initiative that automates the hallmarking process for gold and silver jewellery. By assigning a unique alphanumeric code to each item, it ensures transparency, digital purity certification, and enhanced trust for consumers and jewellers alike.

This recognition highlights C-DAC’s commitment to delivering secure, scalable, and citizen-centric digital governance solutions.
