Organizers: COEP Technological University, CANEUS International, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET)

About the Organizers

COEP Technological University

CoEP Technological University (formerly College of Engineering Pune), established in 1854, is one of India's oldest and most prestigious engineering institutions, now functioning as a unitary public university under the Government of Maharashtra. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, and has emerged as a hub for advanced research in robotics, artificial intelligence, and materials engineering. Through its Department of Robotics & AI, CoEP Tech integrates interdisciplinary expertise to drive innovation in next-generation technologies, aligning with national priorities in advanced manufacturing and sustainable development.

In the field of AI in Advanced Materials, CoEP Tech is actively developing academic programs, research initiatives, and collaborative projects that apply artificial intelligence to materials discovery, design, and deployment. By combining robotics, AI, and computational modeling, theuniversity is working on accelerating materials research for aerospace, automotive, and clean energy applications. Its focus includes automation of materials testing, predictive modeling of material properties, and integration of AI-driven platforms for advanced composites and smart materials.

CANEUS

CANEUS International, based in Canada, is a non-profit organization that fosters international collaboration in aerospace, defense, and emerging technologies, particularly focusing on micro- and nano-technologies. It has historically worked with global institutions, governments, and industry to create frameworks for technology sharing, disaster management applications, and advanced aerospace innovations, positioning itself as a facilitator of cross-border partnerships in high-tech domains.

In the area of AI in Advanced Materials, CANEUS has been actively involved in initiatives that align with Canada's broader push toward accelerated materials discovery. Leveraging artificial intelligence, robotics, and high-performance computing, these efforts aim to drastically reduce the time and cost of developing new materials—especially those critical for clean energy and aerospace applications. By supporting the concept of Materials Acceleration Platforms (MAPs), which are self-driving labs that automate synthesis and characterization, CANEUS contributes to transforming traditional R&D into a data-driven, AI-enabled process that can speed up innovation by nearly tenfold.

C-DAC

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), an autonomous R&D institution under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), is India's premier organization driving innovation in advanced computing, high-performance systems, and applied AI.
