C-DAC Patna is strengthening India's drone talent pipeline through the MeitY-funded Capacity Building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SwaYaan) project by successfully conducting two intensive Drone Technology Bootcamps. Held at Bhagalpur College of Engineering (July 6th–11th, 2026) and Motihari College of Engineering (July 13th –18th, 2026), the six-day, 40-hour bootcamps equipped 107 engineering students with hands-on training in advanced UAV technologies, fostering the next generation of skilled professionals in the country's rapidly evolving drone ecosystem.
The bootcamps provided comprehensive hands-on training in aerodynamics, drone assembly and piloting, programming and sensor integration, AI applications in drones, payload management, and mission planning. Expert sessions by C-DAC Patna ensured a balanced blend of theoretical understanding and practical exposure, equipping students with industry-relevant skills for careers in the rapidly evolving UAV ecosystem.
A key highlight of both bootcamps was the Idea Presentation Session, where participants presented innovative drone-based solutions addressing real-world challenges such as disaster management and precision agriculture. The presentations showcased the students' creativity, technical competence, and ability to apply drone technologies to societal needs.
These initiatives reflect C-DAC Patna's commitment to advancing India's vision of becoming a global drone hub by 2030 by nurturing future-ready talent and promoting innovation in unmanned aerial systems.
