Certificate Course in Applied Machine Learning

C-DAC Delhi has successfully completed its Certificate Course in Applied Machine Learning (CCAML), a key initiative under the ITEC Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The intensive 80-hour course, delivered over two weeks from August 18th to 29th, 2025, hosted 15 nominated participants from 14 different countries viz. Ethiopia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Tanzania, Peru, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Liberia, the Kingdom of Eswatini, Honduras, Uzbekistan, Kenya, Myanmar, and Uganda.

To celebrate the participants' hard work and the dedication of the faculty and staff, a Valedictory Ceremony was held on August 29th, 2025, at the C-DAC New Delhi.The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a rendition of Saraswati Vandana. Shri. Vijay Kayat, Scientist E and ITEC Coordinator at C-DAC Delhi, delivered the welcome address. Shri. Jitendra Singh, Scientist G and Centre Head of C-DAC Delhi, highlighted the importance of both the machine learning course and the ITEC scheme in his opening remarks. Thereafter, Shri. Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Patna &HoD - ICD, C-DAC gave the valedictory speech, followed by a presentation on ITEC, C-DAC, and its global footprints.

Shri. Dixit during his address highlighted the importance of ITEC scheme of Ministry of External Affairs under developmental assistance. He gave an insight on his experience of policy formulation, technology deployment, service delivery, capacity building, project management and administration in international collaboration. He urged participants to be the goodwill ambassadors of C-DAC to propagate course being offered under ITEC in India to their colleagues, friends and relatives. He commended the faculty for crafting a comprehensive, well-structured, and content-rich course, while also acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team at C-DAC Delhi.

Course faculty Shri. Ankit Kumar shared his enriching experience and feedback about the participants, and presented a short film (Memoirs) capturing the memorable moments from their stay at C-DAC New Delhi and in India.

During the Valedictory Ceremony, participants shared their experiences of gaining new skills in Applied Machine Learning, exploring Indian culture, enjoying the heritage tour to Delhi & Agra, experiencing warm hospitality, and savoring Indian cuisine. They expressed deep satisfaction and showed eagerness to attend more such courses at C-DAC in India.The ceremony concluded by presentation of Course Completion Certificate & Memento to all the participants by Shri. Abhinav Dixit &Shri. Jitendra Singh.During the duration of course on a weekend participants were taken for cultural & heritage tour to Delhi and Agra.
