The Electronics & ICT Academy, C-DAC Patna, has successfully conducted two Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) at the Institute of Rural Development & Technology (IRDT), Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The six-day intensive programmes were organized from August 18-23, 2025 and August 25-30, 2025 under the aegis of the Electronics & ICT Academy, supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
The FDPs were inaugurated in the presence of Shri. F. R. Khan, Director, IRDT Kanpur, along with experts from C-DAC Patna. The events aimed to introduce faculty members to the basics to advance of AI/ML concepts and its potential synergy with future advancement in the field. The FDP focused on crucial topics such as:
- Python & its libraries for AI/ML
- Introduction to AI Tools & Platforms
- Machine Learning fundamentals & Algorithms
- Deep Learning and Neural Networks
Discussions on above provided a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, exploring their potential and impact on future advancements in the computing field. By the end of the event, the participants, who initially had limited knowledge of AI/ML, gained a strong understanding of the concepts and had hands-on exposure to practical aspects of the field. The final day was dedicated to discussions on pedagogy sharing by faculties and the programme's conclusion. The FDP concluded with Certificate Distribution.
