Fostering Digital Responsibility through CHMUN 2025

C-DAC Patna, under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase III, in collaboration with CERT-In, MeitY, and St. Karen's Secondary School, Patna (host school), successfully conducted the Cyber Hygiene Model United Nations (CHMUN) 2025 - State level.

The two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 19 schools across Bihar, providing a vibrant platform for young delegates to deliberate on pressing global issues through simulated UN committees such as UNGA, UNHRC, and International Press, integrating diplomacy with cyber awareness.

The programme was inaugurated in the august presence of Dr. Manavjit Singh Dhillon, IPS, DIG, Economic Offences Unit, Bihar, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Nitin Kumar Puri, Executive Director, NIELIT Patna, as Guest of Honour, Smt. Marrykutty, Principal, St. Karen's Secondary School, Patna, along with distinguished dignitaries from C-DAC Patna and CERT-In.

Delegates were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Commander Vivek Kumar Yadav (Retd.), Scientist E, C-DAC Patna and Shri. Saket Kumar Jha, Scientist D, C-DAC Patna. The judging panel included Shri. Abhay Kumar, Scientist D, CERT-In and Shri. Asim Anand, Scientist C, C-DAC Patna, who evaluated the delegates across nine award categories, including Cyber Hygiene Champion and Best Delegation, celebrating their commitment to building a safer and united digital world.

C-DAC Patna deeply values such platforms that encourage youth to think critically about digital responsibility and the ethical use of technology. We thank MeitY and CERT-In for their continued support, and appreciate the partnership of St. Karen's Secondary School, Patna, in jointly creating this impactful initiative under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase III.
