Global Digital Health Collaboration with Sri Lanka

Mohali

March 13, 2026

C-DAC has been working closely with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to develop a roadmap for the potential implementation of eSanjeevani in Sri Lanka.

These efforts build upon the visit of a Sri Lankan expert delegation to India in March 2026, during which C-DAC Mohali facilitated knowledge exchange and demonstrated the operational aspects and large-scale adoption of eSanjeevani in India. This was complemented by engagements with senior officials of MEA to outline implementation approaches, technical customization, and capacity-building requirements tailored to the Sri Lankan context.

As part of this ongoing engagement, C-DAC was invited by MEA to showcase eSanjeevani and deliberate on its potential implementation modalities during a high-level meeting held in New Delhi on April 8th, 2026. The meeting was attended by a Sri Lankan delegation led by the Hon’ble Minister of Health of Sri Lanka, Dr. NalindaJayatissa. C-DAC was represented by Dr. Sanjay P Sood from Mohali centre, along with Shri. Vijay Kayat and Shri. Jai Bheem from Delhi centre.

This engagement reflects C-DAC’s expanding global outreach in digital health and its capability to support partner countries in strengthening their digital health infrastructure. Aligned with the Government of India’s vision of advancing Digital Public Goods, it underscores the potential of enabling cross-border adoption of scalable, open, and interoperable digital solutions to build inclusive, accessible, and resilient healthcare systems globally.
