C-DAC, Mohali, successfullyconcluded a one-week "Specialised Training Programme on Digital Health" for officials from Indonesia. The programme, held from October 30th to November 4th, 2025, was conducted under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, following a request from the Government of Indonesia.
The initiative aimed to strengthen Indonesia's healthcare ecosystem through digital transformation and capacity building. A total of 25 Indonesian officials participated in the training, gaining advanced knowledge and hands-on exposure to cutting-edge digital health technologies, policy frameworks, and implementation strategies.
Conducted in a hybrid format, the programme featured a blend of expert lectures, practical sessions, and site visits to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of India's digital health ecosystem. Key topics included fundamentals of digital health, national digital health policy frameworks, role of NRCeS and private sector, telemedicine practice guidelines, AI in healthcare, and emerging global trends. Case studies from Punjab and Jharkhand Telemedicine Networks offered valuable insights into real-world applications and implementation success stories.
As part of the hands-on learning experience, participants visited Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ramgarh, Haryana), PGIMER Chandigarh, and Ayushman Arogya Kendra (UPHC), Mohali. These visits showcased India's pioneering digital health solutions such as eSanjeevani, highlighting how technology is improving accessibility, efficiency, and quality of healthcare delivery across the nation.
During the valedictory session, senior officials commended the participants for their enthusiastic engagement and encouraged them to leverage their learnings to advance Indonesia's digital health initiatives. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the C-DAC management, DHID team, administration, finance, and ITEC coordination team, whose contributions ensured the success of the programme.
This collaborative initiative further deepens the India-Indonesia partnership in the fields of capacity building, digital innovation, and healthcare transformation, reaffirming India's commitment to promoting international cooperation through the ITEC programme.
