Strengthening Defence Cyber Resilience

Pune

January 30, 2026

C-DAC Pune successfully showcased its indigenous Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)enabled secure video transmission at Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) on January 30th, 2026. The demonstration, attended by senior defence leadership including Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit (CISC), featured real-time encryption of drone-captured video streams using in-house developed, lightweight compute boards.

In addition, the team presented a proprietary aerial pointing and acquisition system engineered to track quantum light links between mobile platforms. These indigenous technologies form a critical component of the Aerial Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) initiative under a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)funded project on aerial quantum communication.

Under the leadership of Dr. Anindita Banerjee, the innovations were positioned as strategic enablers of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” cyber resilience and mission-ready quantum communication capabilities for future military operations.
