C-DAC, Noida successfully conducted a two-week Specialised Programme on Machine Learning, bringing together 27 participants from 26 countries including Argentina, Belarus, Cute d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Liberia, Mauritius, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and Zambia.The programme was conducted under the ITEC Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
A valedictory ceremony was held on September 22, 2025, at C-DAC Noida to celebrate the successful culmination of the programme which was a reflection of the dedication and collaborative efforts of the participants, faculty, and supporting staff.Participants from across the 26 countries actively took part in the ceremony. The event was graced by Shri. V. K. Sharma, Scientist G & Group Coordinator (E&T), C-DAC Noida, Shri. Navneet Jain, Scientist G, along with other distinguished faculty members.
Shri. Navneet Jain briefed the gathering about the training programmeand highlighted the course coverage. The sessions covered the complete Machine Learning lifecycle, starting with data manipulation using NumPy and Pandas, data visualization with Matplotlib and Seaborn. Use of Scikit-learn for model development and evaluation, TensorFlow and Keras to build and train deep learning models, including neural networks. The session also explored clustering techniques and the process of monitoring and updating deployed models. For creating interactive applications, Streamlit was used to integrate trained models into web apps, enabling real-time predictions.
Shri V. K. Sharma commended the participants for their confidence and underscored the significance of Machine Learning across diverse domains such as agriculture, healthcare, finance, data mining, and cybersecurity. He further encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the programme in their respective workplaces and assured them of continued support from the C-DAC technical team for any future queries or guidance.
The participants expressed their deep appreciation for the training programme and conveyed their gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and C-DAC for organizing such a comprehensive and enriching course. They also cherished the study visits to iconic landmarks including the Lotus Temple, Red Fort, India Gate, and especially the Taj Mahal in Agra.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and mementoes to all participants, marking the successful completion of the programme.
