Valedictory Ceremony for Certificate Course in Augmented & Virtual Reality

C-DAC Delhi recently concluded its two-week (80-hour) Certificate Course in Augmented & Virtual Reality (CCA&VR). Held from June 16th to June 27th, 2025, at C-DAC Delhi, the programme was conducted under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs and successfully trained fifteen nominated participants from Ethiopia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, and Fiji.

On June 16th, 2025, C-DAC Delhi hosted an induction ceremony that welcomed a diverse group of participants from various government departments and ministries across the participating countries. Shri. Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G &HoD - ICD & ACTS, C-DAC Delhi, presided over the event, which was also attended by other senior officials.

A valedictory ceremony was held on June 26th, 2025, at C-DAC, New Delhi, to mark the successful completion of the course and celebrate the efforts of the participants, faculty, and staff.

The valedictory ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Saraswathi Vandana. Shri. Vijay Kayat, Scientist E & ITEC Coordinator, C-DAC Delhi, delivered the welcome address, followed by opening remarks from Shri. Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G &HoD - ACTS & ICD, C-DAC Delhi. The event continued with a presentation highlighting ITEC, C-DAC, and its global presence.

In his address, Shri. Abhinav Dixit emphasized the crucial role of the MEA's ITEC scheme in developmental assistance. Drawing from his extensive experience in international collaboration, he shared insights on policy formulation, technology deployment, service delivery, capacity building, project management, and administration. He encouraged participants to become goodwill ambassadors for C-DAC, promoting the ITEC courses offered in India to their colleagues, friends, and relatives. He also commended the faculty for designing such a comprehensive and rich course, as well as the organizing team at C-DAC Delhi for their efforts.

Course faculty, Shri. Ankit Kumar, shared positive experiences and feedback about the participants. Following this, Shri. Prashant Kumar presented a short film titled "Memoirs," which captured the memorable moments participants shared during their time at C-DAC New Delhi and in India.

During the Valedictory Ceremony, participants enthusiastically shared their positive experiences, highlighting not only the new Augmented & Virtual Reality skills they acquired but also their appreciation for Indian culture, the heritage tours to Delhi & Agra, the hospitality, and the Indian food. They expressed great satisfaction and a strong desire to attend more courses at C-DAC in India. The participants also thoroughly enjoyed and highly praised the tour of the PARAM Rudra facility and the immersive experience with PARAM Shavak AR & VR.

Ms. Pooja Arora, Chief Operating Officer of the Media & Entertainment Skills Council (a society registered under FICCI & NSDC), graced the occasion as a special invitee. Before the ceremony, she conducted an hour-long session for the participants.The ceremony concluded with Shri. Abhinav Dixit and Ms. Pooja Arora presenting Course Completion Certificates and mementos to all participants.

On the final day of the course, participants attended TecVerse 2025 in New Delhi, an event organized by C-DAC, C-MET, and SAMEER at The Manekshaw Centre to showcase new and emerging technologies launched by these MeitY-affiliated R&D organizations.
