C-DAC Mumbai successfully organized "सोपान - Bridging Campus and Career: HOD-TPO Meet 2025" in Mumbai on November 26th, 2025, marking a major step toward bridging the gap between academic curricula and industry-ready skills. The event brought together an enthusiastic gathering of Deans, Principals, Heads of Departments (HoDs), Training & Placement Officers (TPOs) and faculty members from several engineering colleges across Western India.
The day began with insightful addresses by Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha, Executive Director, C-DAC Mumbai, setting the tone for collaborative discussions ahead. Dr Padmaja Joshi, Scientist G and Programme Head, Smt Veena Tyagi, Scientist G and Programme Head, Dr. C.P. Johnson, Scientist G and Programme Head, Shri Chandrashekhar, Scientist E and Section Head, Dr Kiran Waghmare, Programme Manager, C-DAC Mumbai highlighted C-DAC's pivotal role in driving technological advancement at the national level and emphasized the critical need for academia to align with the rapidly evolving demands of the IT and R&D sectors. Shri Davinder Singh, Chief Placements Officer, C-DAC Mumbai Region, delivered the welcome speech.
The agenda was meticulously curated to provide fresh graduates with a holistic view of career opportunities. Participants received detailed insights into C-DAC's advanced R&D initiatives, followed by an in-depth overview of its flagship upskilling programmes aimed at strengthening graduate employability. Expert-led sessions further examined real-world applications and emerging trends in AI and Quantum Computing, delivering valuable and forward-looking perspectives.
A major highlight was the showcase of C-DAC's internship opportunities, providing students with hands-on exposure to advanced projects. The event concluded with a dynamic interactive Q&A session, where academic leaders' queries were addressed, fostering a constructive dialogue aimed at building a strong talent pipeline for the nation's strategic sectors.
