C-DAC’s bioinformatics meet begins: The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune, is organising a three-day international symposium on ‘Accelerating biology’ which began in the city on Tuesday.

The symposium aims to address current and emerging challenges of bioinformatics including areas of genome analysis, comparative genomics, molecular modelling, algorithm development and systems biology. Several eminent scientists and researchers from across the country will deliver talks during the meet, which also features a poster presentation competition of research students from all over India.

The symposium will be facilitated by the bioinformatics team of C-DAC under the aegis of the department of information technology, ministry of communications and IT (MC and IT), Government of India.
