Making the education process more fun learning and interactive, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has developed T-Learning Suite that will open new avenues, besides assisting classroom learning for students.

On the eve of its foundation day, C-DAC director general Rajat Moona said, "We will be celebrating our 26th foundation day on Thursday. Our R&D labs have been successful in developing three products — T-Learning Suite, Bio-Chemistry Analyser and EDGE (Enterprise Wide Self-Managed Network Solution).”
"All these products are targeted at a particular sector of the IT community,” Moona said.
"T-learning is a television-based doorstep educational programme, which would be seen at homes through set top box," said senior director Mahesh Kulkarni.

Kulkarni said, "It is a platform which is available in our mother tongue. This offers the learner-viewers with the facility to take lecture notes, self-evaluation tests and access supplementary information, making learning a fun acitivity. We have tied-up with Educational Media Research Centre (EMRC) for the educational content in 80 subjects, besides there are other agencies too that will provide the content.”

The tool will help to record and convert the content, Kulkarni said, adding that there is T-Mandi, wherein farmers can get information regarding the market.

Executive director Hemant Darbari said that it is developed in 20 different languages, including Persian and Arabic. It is free to air but some content may or may not be free for all. It will depend on the subscription.
