Preparatory Course for Diploma in Advanced Computing (PreDAC)
Preparatory Course for Diploma in Advanced Computing (PreDAC) as the name suggest is a course targeted for the candidates aspiring to join the Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (PG-DAC) for the career in IT domain. As PG-DAC curriculum starts from the C++ and DS using C++ and does not include the basics of development C Programming which is also the evaluating criteria in C-DAC Common Admission Test (CCAT) for the students is covered in the course. It not only clears all the aspects of programming in C language but also prepares you for PG DAC course and CCAT examination.
It is always recommended to undertake the PreDAC course if you belong to a non IT background such as Mechanical / Production / Civil Engineering so on and so forth.

· Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / 4-year BSc / AMIE / DoEACC B Level, etc.) in Electronics/ Computer Science/ IT or related areas.OR
· Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (e.g. MSc in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, etc.).OR
· Graduate in any discipline of Engineering or equivalent,OR
· MCA/MCM.OR
· Post Graduate in Physics/ Computational Sciences/ Mathematics or allied areas.OR
· Post Graduate in Management with graduation degree in Science/ IT/ Computers.
· The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.
Registration for PreDAC Certification examination
The process of admission to C-DAC's Preparatory
Course for Post Graduate Diploma course begins with Registration of prospective
candidates on the C-DAC website, acts.cdac.in. Upon registering, candidates
will get their form number that can be used to log in and fill the application
form online. The form number must be remembered by the candidate as it will be
the reference number and login ID of the candidate during the whole admission
process. Read carefully the instructions on the C-DAC website while filling the
online registration and application forms.
The candidate will get the Form No. and password in his mail id. Once
candidates have completed registration, the next step is to log in and fill the
application form. After filling the application form, candidates have to upload
their passport size photograph.
The candidate needs to pay the examination fees of INR 1000/- plus GST @ 18%
towards the examination using the payment gateway facility available using the
credit card or debit card.
The steps successfully completed in the application process are shown with a tick-mark on the main menu of the online application.
