C-DAC Pune has been honoured with the prestigious Express Computer Technology Sabha Award 2026 in the Artificial Intelligence category for its contribution to advancing inclusive and language-aware digital technologies.
The award recognises Bharati Sangraha, developed by C-DAC Pune under the Bharati – Bahubhashi Anuvada Sarthi initiative. The initiative focuses on creating, collecting, curating and managing high-quality multilingual datasets for Indian languages, supporting the integration of India’s linguistic diversity into the digital ecosystem.
By providing quality language resources across Indian languages, Bharati Sangraha contributes to building more inclusive, accessible and language-aware AI technologies. The award was presented by Ms. Saina Nehwal, former World No. 1 Indian badminton player and Olympic medallist, at the award ceremony held in Jaipur.
