Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), is a Scientific Society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram is looking for bright & result oriented professionals for various projects. The following positions are available purely on contract basis on consolidated emolument initially for a period of 03 (Three) year or co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier. However, term of contract may be considered for extension for further period based on performance of the incumbent and requirement of the project.

Procedure for attending the WALK IN/ ONLINE Interview

  1. Before filling the online form/application for attending the Walk-in/ Online interview, Candidates should read 'General Terms and Conditions' carefully.

  2. Candidates should REGISTER their candidature by filling Google Form (available below the post details), for attending Walk in/ Online interview.

  3. Registered Candidates are required to download and fill the application form and one page write up (available below the post details). Also affix with latest passport size photograph.

  4. Candidates who are attending the interview through WALK IN mode, are required to carry the below mentioned documents/ certificates in original with one set self-attested photocopies and reach the venue on the stipulated date & time.

General Terms and Conditions

Terms of Engagement:

  1. The positions / requirements are purely on contract basis on consolidated emoluments, initially for a period upto 3 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The selected candidates may be assigned to another project based on organizational requirement.

  2. Contract may be considered for extension for a further period based on performance of the employee & requirement and duration of project.

  3. The candidates engaged under this shall be on contract and shall not derive any right or claim to have a regular post/ appointment in C-DAC.

  4. C-DAC is involved in projects at various location across the India, hence a selected candidate may be deputed or transferred from one project to another as per organizational requirement at any project location across India.

Qualification

  1. For all the posts indicated, the candidates should have qualified from AICTE/UGC approved college/Institute or recognized University.

  2. In case any University/Institution or college is following an evaluation system of CGPA/DGPA/OGPA or letter grade, wherever applicable, it is mandatory for the candidate to submit proof of Percentage (%) issued by university/Institution/College and awarded class along with the degree certificate.

  3. In respect of equivalent clause in essential qualifications, submission of equivalency certificate duly authenticated by the appropriate authority is mandatory at the time of Certificate verification/Joining and the onus for submitting the same purely rests upon the candidates, failing which the application is liable to be rejected.

  4. Candidates in the last semester, who would complete the course before the appointment can also apply, for fresher posts (if any). However, if selected, the joining shall be after passing such examination with required min. score only.

Experience

 

  1. Candidate possessing relevant post qualification experience, if sought for, only needs to apply.

  2. Academy/Teaching/Research work, experience in non-profit organization, internship/project work placements are part of academic curriculum and will not be considered as experience, unless specified.

  3. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting/ guest faculty / trainee / intern will not be counted while calculating the valid experience.

  4. Candidate should possess experience certificates/documents issued by the previous and present employer clearly indicating period of employment, salary drawn and post held.

  5. The decision of C-DAC with respect to experience will be final. Work experience indicated without supporting documents will not be considered and is liable to be rejected/cancelled without any prior intimation.

  6. The pay bracket provided against each position is for the starting pay for the min. experience required for the said post. Candidates with higher experience commensurate with the experience bracket given shall be offered additional increments as per C-DAC Policy.

  7. C-DAC internal candidates need to complete at least 2 years' service in C-DAC as on date of notification, for applying to positions notified.

Age limit and Relaxation:

  1. Upper Age limit will be as specified against each post.

  2. Applicants belonging to reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC) / physically challenged/ Ex-servicemen would be eligible for relaxations according to the 'Government of India' norms.

  3. Government employees on payscale will be eligible for relaxation in age by 5 years including other age relaxations as applicable.

  4. The cut-off date for ascertaining the age and experience will be Last Date of submission of application.

  5. SSLC/SSC/ISC mark sheet/ certificate and any other valid document will be considered as proof of date of birth.

  6. The application of the candidates not meeting the prescribed age criteria will be rejected/cancelled without any prior intimation.

  7. The Economically Weaker Section's Certificate should be strictly in the format prescribed by DoPT. The format is available on the website www.persmin.nic.in

  8. For Candidates claiming, SC / ST / OBC/PwD/EWS status, Original Caste Certificate/Valid OBC Non Creamy layer Certificate/Medical certificate/Income and Asset certificate as the case may be, from the Competent Authority in the format prescribed for Central Government Offices, need to submit at the time of Certificate verification/Joining.

  9. Age relaxation to PwD category: Age relaxation as per Government of India instructions is allowed (including all other age relaxation in respect of the posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped persons for appointment to Below Group 'A' posts/services. The persons claiming age relaxation under this category would be required to produce a certificate in prescribed proforma in support of their claims clearly indicating that the degree of physical disability is 40% or more. In any case, the appointment of these candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in accordance with the standards of medical fitness as prescribed by the Government for the respective posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment by Selection.

Reservations

  1. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWSs will be applicable as per Govt. of India norms, as applicable to C-DAC.

  2. Candidates belonging to reserved categories should produce the original certificates at the time of certificate verification, if called for, issued by competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by DoPT Government of India, failing which such candidates will not be allowed to attend the selection process against reserved posts and will not be allowed to claim the benefits of reservation.

  3. In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India which specifically contain the clause that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer section is required to be produced. The OBC candidates who belong to "CREAMY LAYER" are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as "General/ Unreserved".

  4. The candidates applying under PwD category are required to submit the Disability Certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training vide OM No.36035/3/2004-Estt (Res) dated 29.12.2005 as amended from time to time. Candidates having disability of 40% or more only are eligible for reservation under PwD category.

  5. The candidates applying under Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) category are required to submit Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority in the prescribed format as given in Annexure-I of DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31st January 2019 as amended / modified from time to time.

Selection procedure:

  1. Candidate should meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement.

  2. The qualification and experience prescribed, are the minimum requirements and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates entitled to be called for written test and / or selection processes.

  3. There will be an initial screening based on the academic records and other parameters declared in the online application/ form and only screened-in candidates will be considered for further selection process.

  4. The management reserves the right to increase/alter the minimum eligibility criteria/cut off limits, in the event of the number of applicants are more, for any post(s), at its discretion. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic credentials, experience profile, written test marks (if any), performance in the interview and such other selection processes/parameters, as adopted and deemed fit by management.

  5. Mere application and fulfilment of the mentioned qualifications etc., does not entitle a candidate to be called for written/skill test/ interview. C-DAC may restrict the number of candidates to be called to participate in interview/selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed.

  6. The selection process shall be carried out by C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram Centre based on its requirements and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further process.

  7. All information submitted in the application will be verified with the original documents at the time of document verification or at any stage of the recruitment process. If any documents/information provided by the candidate is found to be false or incorrect or Non-conformity with the eligibility criteria, then his/her candidature is liable to be rejected/cancelled at any stage of the recruitment and selection process without any prior intimation.

  8. The candidature is also liable for rejection at any stage if C-DAC comes across any evidence/knowledge that the qualification, experience and any other particulars indicated in the application/other forms/formats are not recognized/false misleading and/or amounts to suppression of information/particulars which should have been brought to the notice of C-DAC.

Important Notes

  1. C-DAC reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or not to recruit against any post notified in this notification at its discretion without any notice/notification.

  2. It is the responsibility of the candidates to assess his/her own eligibility for the post for which he/she is applying in accordance with the advertisement. In case, it is found at any point of time in future during process of selection or even after appointment that candidate was not eligible as per prescribed qualification, experience etc, which could not be found at the time of selection due to whatever circumstances, his/her candidature/appointment shall be liable to be cancelled/terminated as case may be without giving any notice.

  3. In case of ambiguity/dispute arises on account of interpretation in version other than English, English version will prevail.

  4. Candidates are not required to send printout of application or any other documents in hard copy to C-DAC.

  5. Interview Call Letters, other correspondences (if any) etc. will be sent to candidates only through email to the email id provided in their online application/form. No hard copy will be sent.

  6. Mere issue of Interview call letter to candidate will not imply acceptance of candidature or selection for the post.

  7. In case of internal candidates, please note that the finally selected candidates will have to resign from the current services and join for selected post as fresh employee.

  8. All queries pertaining to recruitment including selection process should be addressed to our Recruitment Team only through tvmrct@cdac.in.

  9. Kindly note that we have not authorized any agent/ agency for representing C-DAC for anything related to recruitment or its processes.

  10. C-DAC reserves the right to cancel or introduce any Personal Interview/Other selection process. C-DAC also reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the recruitment process and/or the selection process without any notice and without assigning any reasons.

  11. C-DAC reserves the right to fill/not fill up the post or even to cancel the whole or part of the process of recruitment without assigning any reason thereof.

  12. All the posts will be filled as per the as applicable Rules / guidelines of C-DAC.

  13. The person selected for contract appointment will not have any claim or right for his/her continuity in service, regularization or automatic extension of the term of contract.

  14. Selected candidates will be eligible to apply for different / higher posts, on contract on consolidated pay basis, against internal notifications issued from time to time, as per CDAC policy.

  15. The candidates are advised to visit C-DAC website regularly. Notice/ information, Corrigendum, Extension etc., if any, shall be published on our website www.cdac.in only.

  16. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending written examination/ interview.

  17. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification for selection.
