C-DAC Delhi started Certificate Course in Responsible AI (CCRAI)under ITEC Scheme of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for a duration of two weeks for eighteen participants from Cubaon February 24th, 2025.Participants from various Cuban government departments and ministries actively engaged in the Induction Ceremony on February 24th, 2025, marking the course's commencement.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthems of India and Cuba, followed by a welcome to the guestsH.E. Mr. Abel Aballe Despaigne, Dy. Head of Mission, Embassy of Republic of Cuba in New Delhi and Shri. Amar Singh, Under Secretary (TC), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi by Shri. Naveen Kumar Jain, Scientist G & Centre Head and Shri.Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G &HoD - ICD & ACTS, C-DAC Delhi and lighting of lamp with Saraswathi Vandana.Thereafter, welcome addresswas given by Shri. Naveen Kumar Jain followed by followed by presentation on ITEC and C-DAC by Shri. Abhinav Dixit.Dr. Priyanka Jain, Scientist F &HoD, Neurocognitive AI & XR Group, C-DAC Delhi gave an introduction of the course explaining its salient features.
Shri. Amar Singh during his opening remarks highlighted the importance of ITEC scheme of Ministry of External Affairs under developmental assistance. He informed that this customised training for Cubans is the second iteration and first in IT by Government of India under ITEC Scheme. He urged participants to be the goodwill ambassadors of India and to propagate course being offered by C-DAC under ITEC in India to their colleagues, friends and relatives.
The course faculty; Shri. Tanmay Jain, Shri. Kartike Pushkarna, Shri. Krishan Sharma, Ms. Saumya Kushwaha, Shri. Aaksh Deep and Shri. Chandan Sarkarfrom C-DAC Delhi were introduced to the participants. Participants during their introduction paid their gratitude to Indian Mission, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for inviting them for the ITEC course and C-DAC Delhi for designing such a comprehensive, structured and rich content for the course. The participants also shared their expectation regarding acquiring new skills in Artificial Intelligence during the course.
H.E. Mr. Abel Aballe Despaigne, during his special remarks highlighted diplomatic relations between India and Cuba for last 65 years and thanked Indian Mission, MEA, Government of India and C-DAC for this important course under ITEC. He acknowledged the high quality and comprehensive nature of the course materials designed by C-DAC and efforts put in by the organizing team.
H.E. Mr. Abel Aballe Despaigne andShri. Amar Singh was also shown the PARAM Rudra facility at C-DAC, Delhi. The ceremony concluded with the dignitaries presenting training kits to all participants, followed by a group photograph.
