A high-level delegation from Seychelles, led by Sebastien Pillay, Hon'ble Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles, visited New Delhi to participate in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held from February 16th–20th, 2026.
On February20th, 2026, the Hon'ble Vice President met with C-DAC officials. The meeting aimed to explore potential avenues of collaboration, particularly in the domains of cybersecurity and cyber forensics.
A presentation on C-DAC and its global footprint was delivered by Shri Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G; HoD – International Cooperation Division; and Centre Head, C-DAC Patna.
He outlined C-DAC's extensive international engagements, highlighting successful project implementations across countries in Asia, Africa, the Pacific Islands, and Latin America. The presentation emphasized C-DAC's core competencies in advanced computing, digital governance, capacity building, and technology-driven public service solutions.
Presentation on C-DAC's cybersecurity initiatives was delivered by Dr. Ch. A.S. Murty, Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Kolkata. He elaborated on C-DAC's indigenously developed cybersecurity and cyber forensic tools and their deployment across various government and strategic sectors. He emphasized the importance of cybersecurity solutions in strengthening the national development ecosystem and safeguarding critical digital infrastructure. Dr. Murty also highlighted C-DAC's role in supporting India's secure digital transformation through research, innovation, and capacity building.
Hon'ble Vice President in his remarks commended C-DAC for its significant national and global initiatives. He expressed keen interest in collaborating with C-DAC in the areas of cybersecurity, cyber forensics, and emerging technologies, and suggested exploring practical pathways to initiate these collaborations in a time-bound manner. Thereafter, discussions were held on the way forward between the C-DAC and visiting team members, focusing on cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
