During the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Mr. Azizjon Akramov, Director, Semiconductors & Electronics Strategy, Ministry of Economic and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Mr. Aditya Kumar Sinha, Executive Director, C-DAC, Mumbai, on February17th, 2026. During the interaction, the ongoing international collaborative initiatives undertaken by C-DAC were discussed.
Mr. Azizjon conveyed his country’s interest in exploring avenues for collaboration, particularly in the areas of skill development and capacity building in Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductor development, digitalisation, and Financial Technology (FinTech).
Subsequently, to advance the discussions, a three-member delegation comprising Mr. Bobur KHODJAEV (Head of Department FinTech, IT and AI, President’s Administration of Uzbekistan), Mr. Azizjon Akramov and Mr Sadriddin L. Suyarov (First Secretary), met on February 19th, 2026 with Mr. Amitesh Sinha, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
The meeting was attended by Mr. Vivek Khaneja, Executive Director, C-DAC Noida, Dr. Leena Chourey, Scientist E, and Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Scientist E, C-DAC Mumbai.
Mr. Amitesh Sinha provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing initiatives under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). Mr. Vivek Khaneja apprised the delegation of C-DAC’s recent advancements and ongoing work in the areas of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and semiconductor technologies.
The delegation expressed keen interest in fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening capacity-building initiatives in areas of mutual interest. Both sides agreed to initiate the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize cooperation between the two countries in the fields of semiconductor development, AI, skill development, capacity building, digitalisation, and FinTech.
