Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop at IIT (BHU)

A highly informative and interactive two-day workshop on Cyber Security awareness was successfully conducted on the September 15th and 16th, 2025 at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, drawing participation from over 200 students, faculty members, and research scholars.

Shri. Sangam Kumar Chaturvedi, Scientist D, C-DAC Kolkata and Shri. Harmesh Rana, Project Engineer, C-DAC Hyderabad were the invited members. Workshop Sessions included:

  1. Introduction to Cyber Security and Common Cyber Threats in India
  2. Phishing & Social Engineering Attacks (with live demonstrations)
  3. Protecting Digital Assets
  4. Cyber Hygiene Best Practices

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the growing cyber threats in India and equip attendees with essential knowledge to safeguard digital infrastructures and personal information.

Dignitaries Present:

The workshop served as an important milestone in equipping the academic and staff community at IIT (BHU) with practical cybersecurity skills and enhanced awareness. The sessions were highly engaging and received with great appreciation by the participants.

The event concluded with insightful closing remarks and reflections shared by Shri. Sumit Kumar Biswas, Registrar, IIT (BHU).
