Certificate Course in Applied Machine Learning

On March 30th 2026, C-DAC Delhi commenced a Certificate Course in Applied Machine Learning under the prestigious ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The two-week intensive programme hosted 15 nominated participants representing a diverse cohort from Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uganda, and Malaysia.

The programme commenced with a formal welcome address by Shri Vijay Kumar Kayat, Scientist E – ICD and ITEC Coordinator. He welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of cross-border knowledge exchange in the rapidly evolving domain of Artificial Intelligence.

The inaugural ceremony featured the traditional lighting of the lamp, accompanied by Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. The ceremony was presided by Shri Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G, HoD – ICD and Centre Head, C-DAC Patna.

Shri Dixit delivered an insightful presentation on C-DAC and the ITEC initiative. He encouraged participants to act as “Goodwill Ambassadors” for India, strengthening international collaboration and bilateral relations. He also formally introduced the Course Resource Person, Shri Ankit Kumar, who will lead the technical training sessions.

Participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the Indian Missions and the Ministry of External Affairs for the opportunity to participate in this fully-funded programme. They shared their goals for the course, emphasizing their intent to gain advanced expertise in Applied Machine Learning and apply these skills within their respective government departments.

Beyond the technical curriculum, participants are also excited to explore India’s culture, food and history during their stay.
