New Delhi

June 19, 2026

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on June 19th, 2026, disbursed incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) during a special programme held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The flagship employment-linked incentive scheme of the Government of India aims to accelerate job creation, promote formal employment, improve employability, and expand social security coverage across sectors. Since its launch, the scheme has already facilitated employment opportunities for nearly 15 lakh beneficiaries across the country.

Under PMVBRY, first-time employees are eligible to receive incentives of up to ₹15,000, offering financial support as they begin their professional journey. Employers creating additional jobs are entitled to incentives of up to ₹3,000 per month per additional employee, encouraging sustained employment generation across industries.

Recognising the strategic importance of manufacturing in economic growth, the government has extended employer incentives in the manufacturing sector for four years, while employers in other sectors can avail benefits for two years.

The scheme, which came into effect on 1 August 2025, has a total outlay of ₹99,446 crore and aims to create more than 3.5 crore jobs over a two-year period. Out of these, around 1.92 crore beneficiaries are expected to be first-time entrants into the workforce.

Adding a strong digital backbone to the initiative, the technology platform for PMVBRY has been designed, developed and implemented by e-Governance Solutions Group, C-DAC, Pune. The robust digital system enables seamless beneficiary registration, employer onboarding, incentive processing, verification, and transparent disbursement of benefits across the country.

The successful rollout of the platform highlights the role of indigenous digital solutions in supporting large-scale national employment and social security initiatives. PMVBRY is expected to play a transformative role in expanding formal employment and advancing the vision of a self-reliant and developed India under the Viksit Bharat mission.
