Drone Technology Bootcamp under MeitYs SwaYaan Project

In a significant step towards strengthening India's drone ecosystem, C-DAC Patna successfully conducted an intensive drone technology bootcamp under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)funded project "Capacity Building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SwaYaan)".

The six-day, 40-hour focused training programme was hosted at Government Engineering College (GEC),-Sheohar,from September 15th, 2025 to September 20th, 2025, empowering 70 students with hands-on expertise in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems and allied technologies. Participants gained practical skills in aerodynamics, drone assembly and piloting, programming and sensor integration, AI applications in drones, payload management, and mission planning.

Each session was led by C-DAC Patna experts in collaboration with seasoned industry professionals, ensuring a strong balance between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. The programmes were designed to prepare students for both academic advancement and industry deployment in this rapidly growing sector.

A highlight of the bootcamps was the Idea Presentation Session on the final day, where participants showcased innovative drone-based solutions for pressing societal and industrial challenges. From disaster management concepts to precision agriculture solutions, these presentations reflected both creativity and technical competence.

These initiatives form part of C-DAC Patna's broader mission to contribute to India's strategic goal of becoming a global drone hub by 2030, as envisioned by the Government of India. By equipping young engineers with industry-relevant skills, C-DAC Patna is enabling a future-ready workforce capable of driving UAV innovations across multiple sectors.
