An MoU was signed on March 6th, 2025, at Digital University of Kerala (DUK) in Thiruvananthapuram, formalizing an agreement between DUK and C-DAC for collaborative academic and research activities.
The MoU was signed by Prof (Dr). A Mujeeb, Registrar, DUK and Dr. Kalaiselvan, Scientist G& Centre Head, C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram in presence of Prof. Ciza Thomas, Vice Chancellor; Dr. T K Manojkumar, Dean Research; Dr. Balasubramaniam S, Assistant Professor, DUK and Smt. Rajasree S, Scientist G; Shri. Senthilkumar K B, Scientist F; Dr.Dittin Andrews, Scientist E; Shri. Manu Madanan, Scientist E; Shri. Mahesh I K, Scientist D & Shri. Bejoy Dickson, Technical Officer from C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram.
This collaboration shall enable DUK and C-DAC to support each other's endeavors in delivery of research activities and academic programmes and through the following but not limited to:
- C-DAC and DUK joint project proposals and exploring funding opportunities.
- Jointly organize events such as seminars, workshops, conferences and training programmes.
- Pedagogy, student intern programmes, consultancy projects, contests, faculty exchange, student mentoring, continuing education programmes, pilot and concept programmes.
- Staff members or research fellows of C-DAC at any given time may be admitted and registered for the Ph.D. Programme at different departments at DUK.
- Sharing of Facilities: The two organizations agree to share their respective important R&D facilities in order to promote academic and research interactions in the areas of cooperation to intensify the high priority area programs of science and technology.
- Academic and project internship of students of DUK at CDAC centers.
- Any other objective as agreed upon in writing by both the institutions.
Through this partnership, DUK and C-DAC shall collaborate on innovative projects, submit joint research proposals for funding, and work together to develop technologies and solutions for societal benefit. The agreement also emphasizes industry-academia integration through internships, industry visits, higher education, and real-world project opportunities, ensuring students gain practical insights and hands-on experience.
