FDP on Brain Behaviour & Cognitive Neuroscience

C-DAC Delhi conducted a one-week online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Brain Behaviour & Cognitive Neuroscience" from May 18th to 22nd2026. The programme was organized with the objective of providing participants with multidisciplinary insights into neuroscience, cognitive science, behavioural analysis, artificial intelligence, and physiological data processing techniques. With the growing importance of interdisciplinary learning and emerging technologies in the field of neuroscience and cognitive computing, the programme aimed to strengthen the understanding of brain behaviour mechanisms and emerging computational approaches used in cognitive neuroscience research and applications.

The programme covered a wide range of contemporary topics including Neuroscience Foundations & Integration, Multidisciplinary Behavioural Perspectives, EEG Acquisition & Processing, Signal Recording & Python Analysis, Machine Learning Fundamentals, Physiological Data Analysis, Strategic Decision Modelling, Game Theory Applications, Multimodal Data Integration, and Brain Computer Interface (BCI) System Demonstration. The FDP witnessed participation from 45 faculty members, researchers, students, neuro-scientists, and professionals from various academic& clinical institutions and organizations across the country.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Shri Jitendra Singh, Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Delhi with active participation from all members of the centre. The FDP was coordinated by Dr. Priyanka Jain, Scientist F& Group Head - NCAIand co-coordinated by Shri Apoorva Kohli, Scientist E& Group Head -ACTS. The technical sessions were delivered by expert faculty members and professionals from C-DAC Delhi including Dr. Priyanka Jain; Dr. Geetanjali Srivastava, Neuro Research Scientist;Shri Rohit Mishra, Scientist B;Shri Kartike Pushkarna, Project Engineer; Ms. Saumya Kushwaha, Project Engineer and Ms. Arpita Salunke, Project Engineer with the online sessions’coordination by Dr. Shefali Gupta, Neuro Researcher, NCAI Group.

The inaugural ceremony of the FDP was hosted by Shri Manoj Bansal, Business Coordinator, NCAI Group. During the programme, Shri Apoorva Kohli, addressed the participants and highlighted the role of C-DAC in advancing emerging technologies and building technical capacities through industry-oriented training initiatives. He emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary domains such as neuroscience, AI, and cognitive analytics in shaping future technological innovations and encouraged participants to continuously enhance their skills in emerging areas.

Shri Jitendra Singh, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of attendees and emphasized the importance of continuous learning, research orientation, and innovation in rapidly evolving technological domains. He highlighted that programmes focusing on neuroscience and AI integration would play a significant role in future academic and industrial advancements.

Shri Arvind Kumar, Senior Advisor, C-DAC Delhi, also addressed the participants and stated that such Faculty Development Programmes provide an excellent platform for academicians, researchers, and professionals to explore emerging interdisciplinary technologies. He encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge gained during the FDP towards research, innovation, and societal applications.

The valedictory ceremony for the programme was held on May22nd, 2026.During the ceremony, the dignitaries appreciated the enthusiastic participation and emphasized the importance of emerging interdisciplinary domains such as cognitive neuroscience, neurotechnology, and AI-driven behavioural analysis in academic research, healthcare, education, and technological innovation.

The participants were felicitated on their successful completion of the FDP by Ms. Richa Chaudhary, Faculty & Course Counsellor, who congratulated all participants for their active involvement and successful completion of the programme.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Shoyab Ali, Senior Project Engineer (TPO), ACTS, who expressed his gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, participants, organizing members, and supporting staff for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the FDP. The ceremony concluded with positive interactions and appreciation from the participants for the informative and enriching sessions conducted during the programme.
