C-DAC Delhi startedCertificate Course in Applied Machine Learning under ITEC Scheme of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for a duration of two weeks for fifteennominated participants from Ethiopia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Tanzania, Peru, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Liberia, Kingdom of Eswatini, Honduras, Uzbekistan, Kenya, Myanmar & Uganda on August 18th, 2025.

C-DAC Delhi held an Induction Ceremony to welcome participants to the start of the course. The ceremony had an active and diverse turnout, with participants from various government departments and ministries of these countries.

Ceremony commenced with the welcome address by Shri. Vijay Kumar Kayat, Scientist E - ICD & ITEC Coordinator followed by lighting of lamp with Saraswati Vandana by Shri. Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G & HoD - ICD and Centre Head, C-DAC Patna, Shri. Jitendra Singh, Scientist F, Centre Head, C-DAC Delhi, Shri. Vijay Kumar Kayat, Scientist E - ICD & ITEC Coordinator C-DAC Delhi and Shri. Ankit Kumar, Project Manager, ICD, C-DAC Delhi.During his opening remarks, Shri. Jitendra Singh highlighted the importance of the ITEC scheme, a developmental assistance initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Shri. Abhinav Dixit presented on ITEC & C-DAC, and in his address, he encouraged attendees to become goodwill ambassadors for India. He asked them to promote the ITEC courses in India to their colleagues, friends, and relatives back home.The course faculty; Shri. Ankit Kumar was introduced by Ms. Richa Choudhary, Course Counsellor & Faculty - ACTS, C-DAC Delhi.

Participants during their introduction paid their gratitude to Indian Missions, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for inviting them in ITEC course and shared their expectation regarding acquiring new skills in Applied Machine Learning during the course.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Ms. Richa Choudhary, a course faculty member and counsellor. Following this, Abhinav Dixit and Jitendra Singh presented training kits to all participants before a group photo was taken.
