C-DAC Mohali Empowers Tanzanian Officials with Data Science & Analytics Skills under ITEC

C-DAC Mohali successfully conducted a two weeks specialized training programmeon Data Science & Analytics from January 29th, 2025 to February 11th, 2025, aimed at empowering 30 Tanzanian officials with advanced data analytics tools and techniques to enhance their skill through data-driven decision-making.The programme was organized under the ITEC scheme, sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. During the training, participants were given hands-on exposure inPython programming, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.

The training was conducted under the guidance of Shri. Ajay Mudgil Scientist E, Head of Education & Training, and Dr. Manjit Kaur -Scientist E, ITEC Coordinator. The course was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Nandita Singla, Project Engineer. ITEC Cell representatives Ms. Amritpal Kaur (PTO), Assistant ITEC Coordinator and Ms. Asha Rani (STO) played a vital role in ensuring the training's success with support from other technical members. Beyond the technical sessions, participants were taken on a study tour to Amritsar, where they visited the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, offering them an enriching experience of India's heritage.

To mark the successful completion of the programme, a valedictory ceremony was held on February 11th, 2025. During the event, Shri. Ajay Mudgil, Scientist-E, C-DAC Mohali, congratulated the participants on their achievements and presented them with certificates.
