C-DAC, New Delhi successfully concluded its Certificate Course on “Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Global Governance, Institutional Operations, and Public Service Delivery”, conducted under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The intensive 40-hour programme, delivered over one week from February 02th to 07th,2026, witnessed the participation of 13 nominated officers from 10 countries, namely Ethiopia, Ghana, Argentina, Oman, Guatemala, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Algeria, Nepal, and Mongolia. The course aimed at enhancing participants’ understanding of the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in governance, institutional efficiency, and public service delivery.
To mark the successful completion of the programme, a Valedictory Ceremony was organized February 6th, 2026, at C-DAC, New Delhi. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by the recitation of Saraswati Vandana, setting a formal and auspicious tone for the event.
Shri Vijay Kayat, Scientist E and ITEC Coordinator, C-DAC Delhi, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the significance of the ITEC Scheme as a key instrument of India’s developmental assistance and international cooperation. Drawing from his experience in policy formulation, technology deployment, service delivery, capacity building, project management, and administration in international collaborations, he emphasized the role of ITEC programmes in strengthening institutional capacities of partner countries. He encouraged participants to act as goodwill ambassadors of C-DAC and to disseminate information about ITEC courses among their professional networks. He also appreciated the course faculty for designing a comprehensive and structured curriculum and commended the organizing team for the successful conduct of the programme.
Dr. Priyanka Jain, Scientist F and Head of the Artificial Intelligence Division, C-DAC Delhi, addressed the participants and underscored the transformative potential of emerging technologies. She emphasized that Artificial Intelligence is no longer a technology of the future but a driving force of the present, with the capability to address global challenges ranging from healthcare prediction to securing critical national infrastructure. She highlighted that the programme aimed not merely at imparting technical knowledge but at empowering participants to translate data-driven insights into national progress, leadership, and innovation in their respective countries.
The programme resource person, Shri Ankit Kumar, shared his experiences and insights from the course delivery. This was followed by an interactive feedback session in which participants shared their experiences of the programme and their stay at C-DAC New Delhi. The participants expressed satisfaction with the academic content, hands-on learning, and overall organization of the course. They also appreciated India’s rich culture, heritage visits to Delhi and Agra, and the hospitality extended during the programme.
During the course duration, the participants were taken on cultural and heritage tours to Delhi and Agra, providing them an opportunity to experience India’s historical legacy and cultural diversity alongside academic engagement.
The valedictory ceremony concluded with the presentation of course completion certificates and mementos to all participants by Dr. Priyanka Jain and Shri Vijay Kayat, marking the successful culmination of the programme and reinforcing C-DAC’s commitment to capacity building and international cooperation in emerging digital technologies.
