C-DAC Delhi commencedCertificate Course in Big Data & Machine Learning with Python using Azure under ITEC Scheme of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for a duration of two weeks for fourteennominated participants from The Republic of ChileonApril23rd, 2025.An Induction Ceremony, held on April 23rd, 2025, at C-DAC Delhi, marked the beginning of the course and witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of diverse Chilean Government Departments and Ministries.
The Induction Ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthems of both India and Chile. Shri. Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G & HoD � ICD & ACTS, C-DAC Delhi, then welcomed the Chief Guest, Shri. Raktam Ganguly, OSD (DPA IV), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp with Saraswathi Vandana. The welcome address was delivered by Shri. Vijay Kumar Kayat, Scientist E & ITEC Coordinator, C-DAC Delhi. In his opening remarks, Shri. Abhinav Dixit introduced the course, detailing its significant aspects, and presented information on C-DAC and ITEC. The course faculty, Shri. Ankit Kumar from C-DAC Delhi, was also introduced to the attendees.
In their introductory remarks, the participants conveyed their appreciation to the Indian Missions and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, for the opportunity to attend the ITEC course. They also articulated their anticipation of acquiring new competencies in Big Data, Machine Learning, Python, and Azure throughout the programme.
During his address at the induction ceremony, Shri. Raktam Ganguly underscored the importance of the ITEC program of the Ministry of External Affairs in the context of developmental aid. He called upon the participants to serve as goodwill ambassadors for India and to disseminate information about C-DAC's ITEC offerings to their colleagues, friends, and relatives. Furthermore, he expressed his appreciation for C-DAC's creation of a comprehensive, structured, and enriching course curriculum, and acknowledged the efforts of the organizing team at C-DAC Delhi.A tour of the C-DAC Delhi facilities, encompassing the training center and the hostel accommodations for ITEC participants, was provided to Shri. Raktam Ganguly.
Ms. Richa Choudhary, Course Faculty & Counsellor, delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the ceremony to a close. Subsequently, Shri. Raktam Ganguly and Shri. Abhinav Dixit presented training kits to all participants, and the event concluded with a group photograph.
