iCon-BCIHT2024 - International Conference on Brain-Computer Interface & Healthcare Technologies was hosted on December 19th&20th, at Hotel Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram. This prestigious event, organised by C-DAC, highlightedrevolutionary advancements in healthcare technologies, focusing on Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI), Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, medical image analysis, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and assistive technologies.

Prominent institutions, including Government Medical College Hospital Thiruvananthapuram, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter, IEEE Kerala Section, and IEEE Life Members, collaborated to ensure the success of the event. The sponsors for the event were VEGA, Canara Bank, DRDO, Allengers and Ojes.

The conference commenced on December 19, 2024, with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Dr. Kalai Selvan, Director of C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram. Shri Binu P.J., Scientist E, Health Technology Group, C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram, delivered the welcome address, followed by the presidential address by Shri Subodh P.S., Scientist G, and Group Head, Health Technology Group, C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram.

Felicitations were offered by Dr. Suresh R. Devasahayam, Professor, IIT Jammu, Dr. Ashoo Grover, Head of Implementation Research, ICMR, Dr. Ravinder Singh, Senior Scientist, ICMR New Delhi, Dr. Nirmal Surya, President, Indian Stroke Association, Dr. Mohanavelu, Associate Director, DRDO's DEBEL, Er. Koruthu P. Varughese, Founding Chair, IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shri Devanand P., Scientist F, C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram.

The two-day event featured Keynote sessions by leading experts, panel discussions on emerging healthcare trends and paper presentations by researchers from top institutions, including: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, GoI; AIIMS New Delhi, ICMR, DRDO, NIMHANS, IITs, NITs, and international universities. The conference featured 35 invited speakers both from India and Abroad and 47 research papers selected out of 130 based on IEEE guidelines.

An exhibition of Health care products and solutions of CDAC was also showcased during the event.iCon-BCIHT 2024 served as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and technological innovation in healthcare and for set a very high standard in terms of the content and the experts who participated.
