Shri S. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, visited C-DAC Patna on December 3rd, 2025 to inaugurate the newly established Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) Group Laboratory. This milestone strengthens India's efforts in advanced research and indigenous technology development across IoT, drone systems, automation, real-time computing, embedded intelligence, and broader cyber-physical innovations.
The visit also saw the presence of Shri Abhay Singh, IAS, Secretary, Department of IT, Government of Bihar, and Shri Arvind Chaudhary, Additional Secretary, Department of IT, Government of Bihar. Senior leaders from C-DAC including Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha, Scientist G & Executive Director, C-DAC Mumbai, and Shri Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Patna who guided the dignitaries through a walkthrough of the ongoing projects.
After the inauguration, the Secretary, MeitY received an in-depth overview of the solutions and R&D initiatives being developed at C-DAC Patna. The team showcased a diverse portfolio of innovations spanning Cybersecurity, AI, Quantum Technologies, IoT & Drone Systems, Information Security, Education & Training, and various applications of significance to both the State and the nation.
The Secretary showed great interest in the centre's technical strengths and appreciated C-DAC Patna's commitment to building impactful, field-ready solutions. He expressed satisfaction with the pace of development, the quality of engineering, and the strong alignment of projects with national digital priorities. He also encouraged the team to further advance high-assurance research that supports India's digital growth trajectory.
The dignitaries from the Government of Bihar also appreciated the healthy collaboration between C-DAC Patna and the State's Department of IT, highlighting its potential to drive innovationled development and enhance technologyenabled service delivery across Bihar.
