C-DAC Pune signed an MoU with the School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Dr. D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai (SBB-DYPUNM) on August 14th, 2025, at its Pune campus.

The MoU was signed by Shri. Sanjay Wandhekar, Centre Head, C-DAC Pune and Dr. Debjani Dasgupta, Director, SBB-DYPUNM, in the presence of senior representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Uddhavesh Sonavane, Programme Director and Scientist G, HPC Medical and Bioinformatics Applications Group (HPC M&BA Group), Dr. Manoj Kumar Khare, ScientistG and Head of Department, HPC-ESEG, and other scientists from HPC M&BA Group, C-DAC Pune; Dr.Naveen Padmadas, Associate Professor, Dr. Shine Devaraj, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Neelu Joshi, Assistant Professor, from SBB-DYPUNM.

This MoU is aimed at fostering joint research, innovation, and capacity building in cutting-edge domains of Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) leading to impactful translational research. The MoU establishes joint ownership of intellectual property (IP), ensuring fair recognition and fostering impactful translational research.

This partnership combines the computational excellence and technological leadership of C-DAC with the domain expertise and research strength of SBB-DYPUNM, offering a powerful platform to drive advancements in areas such as genomics, molecular modeling, drug discovery, precision healthcare, agriculture, and allied life sciences.

It represents a step forward in building interdisciplinary collaborations that address national priorities while nurturing the next generation of skilled professionals.
