MoU signed between University of Delhi and C-DAC

University of Delhi (DU) and C-DAC have agreed to collaborate on various academic and research activities, as formalized in an MoU signed on March 6th, 2025.

The MoUwas signed by Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi and Shri. Vivek Khaneja, Executive Director, C-DAC Noida in presence of Prof. Ratnabali K. (Dean Academics), Prof Neelima Gupta (Dean Faculty of Mathematical Science), Dr. Om Pal, Associate Professor (Department of Computer Science), University of Delhi and Shri. Sourish Behra, Scientist F & Shri. Abhishek Tiwari, Scientist E fromC-DAC,Noida.

This collaboration will enable DU and C-DAC to support each other's endeavors in delivery of research activities and academic programmes and through the following but not limited to:

  1. In the area of the state-of-the-art Reconfigurable AI/ML models and hardware optimized implementations for various domains.
  2. In the area of Quantum Computing.
  3. In the area of Cryptography & Post-Quantum Cryptography.
  4. In the area of High-Performance Computing.
  5. In the area of Smart Card technologies and Secure computing.
  6. Engineers/Faculty exchange for scientific and technical information flow.
  7. Eligible Staff for Ph.D. (Part-Time) admission in DU as per approved guidelines.
  8. Joint supervision of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. students and course work/Projects at CDAC or DU.
  9. Undertaking collaborative research activities through participation in the Nationally/Internationally funded projects.
  10. Jointly organize events such as seminars, workshops, conferences and training programmes.
  11. Training of students/Engineers/Staff of both institutions as per the facilities and resources available.
  12. Academic and project internship of students of DU at CDAC centres. (xiii) Any other objective as agreed upon in writing by both the institutions.

Through this partnership, University of Delhi and C-DAC will collaborate on innovative projects, submit joint research proposals for funding, and work together to develop technologies and solutions for societal benefit. The agreement also emphasises industry-academia integration through internships, industry visits, higher education, and real-world project opportunities, ensuring students gain practical insights and hands-on experience.
