MoU with CSIR-TKDL

C-DAC Pune's Multilingual Technology Group (MTG) and the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (CSIR-TKDL), a pioneering initiative of India under the joint collaboration of CSIR and the Ministry of AYUSH, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September16th, 2025.

The MoU was signed by Shri. Sanjay Wandhekar, Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Pune, and Dr. Viswajanani J. Sattigeri, Head, CSIR-TKDL Unit, in the presence of Ms. Lenali Singh, Scientist F & Programme Director, MTG, C-DAC Pune, Shri. Amit Srivastava, Scientist E, MTG, C-DAC Pune, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Asthana, Sr. Principal Scientist, CSIR-TKDL, and Ms. Alpana Jain, Sr. Technical Officer, CSIR-TKDL, New Delhi.

This strategic collaboration aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies with India's traditional medicinal knowledge system, while also expanding into traditional agriculture and metallurgy domains. The broader scope of the MoU includes:

This collaboration will strengthen C-DAC's role as a technology partner in safeguarding India's traditional knowledge. The partnership further enhances C-DAC's national relevance and positions it as a key contributor to global efforts in preserving and promoting traditional knowledge.
