To advance horticultural technology, C-DAC Hyderabad and SKLTHU joined forces to collaborate on innovative solutions.
To kickstart collaboration, the following areas have been identified which include the development, validation, certification and proliferation of the Wireless Automatic Weather and Environment Stations (WAWES) platform for micro and marco parameter monitoring in agricultural fields, development of a knowledge repository for horticul-tural crops in 22 local languages of the country, powered by the Vikaspedia platform and knowledge sharing workshops targeting Information Security Awareness and AgriTech initiatives.The broader scope of the MOU seeks to collaborate on technology specific applications like Drones and Farm Robots coupled with AI/ML technologies for monitoring horticulture crop stress, edge computing with AI for horticultural crop management, and data analytics for horticulturecrops.
The MoU were signed by Dr. A. Bhagwan, Registrar, SKLTHU and Dr. P. R. Lakshmi Es-wari, Scientist G and Centre Head, C-DAC Hyderabad in the presence of the Hon. Vice Chancellor, Dr. D. Raji Reddy.
