The National Resource Centre for EHR Standards (NRCeS) at C-DAC Pune hosted the NRCeS Users' Meet & Expo 2026 on February 27th, 2026, at The Orchid Hotel, Pune, bringing together over 200 participants from across India's digital health ecosystem. Attendees included representatives from leading hospitals, government bodies, health tech organizations, research institutions, and innovation-driven startups.
The event served as a comprehensive platform to foster dialogue on health data standards, interoperability, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies supporting India's rapidly evolving digital health landscape.
The meet commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Manisha Mantri, ScientistF and Co Investigator, NRCeS, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Uddhavesh Sonavane, ScientistG and Programme Director, HPC M&BA Group, and Shri Sanjay Wandhekar, ScientistG and Centre Head, C-DAC Pune.
Delivering the inaugural address, Shri Madhukar Kumar Bhagat, Joint Secretary (eHealth), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, highlighted India's digital health vision and emphasized the importance of building secure, interoperable, and standards-based healthcare systems to support the country's rapidly evolving digital health ecosystem.
Shri Gaur Sunder, ScientistF and Chief Investigator, NRCeS, presented key progress updates and outlined the future roadmap aimed at accelerating EHR standards adoption and enhancing nationwide interoperability.
A distinguished panel of experts contributed to the event through thematic sessions covering cybersecurity, legal frameworks, interoperability, and AI driven healthcare innovation. Speakers from NIMHANS, Vigorus AI, National Health Authority (NHA), NABH, Google LLC, Destratum Solutions, and the Open Healthcare Network shared insights on building cybersecure hospitals, advancing ABDM initiatives, scaling open standard health systems, and enabling AI powered digital health transformation.
A key highlight of the meet was the Implementation Showcase & Expo, where leading solution providers demonstrated real world applications of standards based health IT systems. Participating platforms included NextGen eHospital (NIC), Bahmni (Thoughtworks), Ekayaa Consultations, and icareheal Technology, offering participants hands on exposure to digital health solutions aligned with national standards.
The event concluded with an open discussion moderated by Ms. Manisha Mantri, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by ShriAchyut Patil, ScientistE, NRCeS.The NRCeS Users' Meet & Expo 2026 reaffirmed NRCeS's pivotal role in driving interoperable, standards aligned digital health systems and in strengthening India's national digital health infrastructure.
