Orientation on Responsible Artificial Intelligence for IFS OTs 2024 batch

C-DAC Delhi conducted a one-day orientation programme on Responsible Artificial Intelligence for a batch of thirty-five Officer Trainees (OTs) of 2024 batch on January20th, 2025.The course was structured into four 1.5-hour sessions, covering: Introduction to AI, Advanced Applications & Data, AI Implementation, and Drafting Governance Frameworks.

To commemorate the course's end and the achievements of participants, faculty, and staff, a closing ceremony took place on January 20th, 2025.The ceremony was gracedby the Chief Guest, Shri. Raj Srivastava, Dean, Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service along with Shri. Sathish Balakrishnan, Under Secretary (SSIFS), Dr. Priyanka Jain, Scientist F & Group Head - Neurocognitive AI & XR, C-DAC Delhi &Shri. Apoorva Kohli, Scientist E, ACTS, C-DAC Delhi. Other officials and faculties present were Dr. Shoyab Ali, TPO; Shri. Rohit Mishra, Shri. Chandan Sarkar andShri. Tanmay Jain.

Shri. Apoorva Kohli welcomed the attendees and made opening remarks, which were then followed by a presentation on C-DAC's national and international education and training initiatives.In his special remarks, Shri. Raj Srivastava underscored the significance of Artificial Intelligence. He expressed his appreciation for C-DAC's development of a comprehensive, structured, and content-rich one-day orientation, and commended the organizing team at C-DAC Delhi.

At the closing ceremony, participants shared positive feedback on their AI skill development, the hands-on sessions, and the overall hospitality, and voiced their interest in attending more comprehensive courses at C-DAC Delhi.Dr. Priyanka Jain along with other course faculties also shared their wonderful experience and feedback about the participants.The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Priyanka Jain, Scientist F & Group Head - Neurocognitive AI & XR, C-DAC Delhi

Following the ceremony, Shri. Raj Srivastava, accompanied by other officials and OT's, was given a comprehensive tour of the PARAM Rudra facility and C-DAC Delhi's training infrastructure, including computer laboratories, classrooms, and hostel accommodations. The closing of the ceremony was marked by the presentation of souvenirs to all participants and mementos to Shri. Raj Srivastava and Shri. Sathish Balakrishnan.
