Mr. Jorge Edison Ribeiro is a medical doctor (MD) graduated from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR, Brazil) and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London. He is a senior executive at Araucária Foundation (Paraná State Research Funding Agency), currently acting as Top Manager for High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Advanced Digital Technologies. He has been leading strategic initiatives in HPC, Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies, including international cooperation projects with India, particularly with C-DAC, focusing on sovereign computing infrastructure, RISC-V ecosystems, AI platforms and applied use cases in health and public services.

As part of the ongoing discussions regarding the Brazil HPC collaboration with C-DAC, Mr.Jorge Edison Ribeiro visited the C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram campus on February 9th, 2026 for technical discussions and collaboration. A meeting with all group heads was held, during which various technologies developed by different groups were presented. Detailed discussions were held in the areas of “VEGA RISC-V processor development” and “Health Informatics”.

Mr.Jorge Edison Ribeiro and C-DAC discussed ways to boost collaboration in developing critical technologies like development of GPU, software stack for HPC storage, cyber security, precision farming etc.
