Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning (SAFAL) is a diagnostic competency-based assessment framework for grades 5, and 8 to assess foundational skills such as numeracy, literacy and basic learning outcomes among students. SAFAL is one of the significant deliverables of the NEP 2020.
