Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), is a Scientific Society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The following positions are available purely on contract basis on consolidated emolument initially for a period of 01 (One) year or co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier. However, term of contract may be considered for extension for further period based on performance of the incumbent and requirement of the project.

Deal with purchase & procurement activities. Prepare and analyze competitive sealed bids, competitive sealed proposals, requests for quotations and request for statements of qualifications. Coordinate and supervise activities of evaluation committees.

Processing fee & payment:

  • Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.590/- (Rupees Five Hundred and Ninety only) including 18% GST for applying for the posts, which is to be paid by the candidates through Net banking/ Unified Payment Interface (UPI)/Credit card/Debit card only through integrated payment gateway system during the online application process at C-DAC website. No other mode of transaction other than mentioned above will be accepted.

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category are exempted from processing fee.

General Terms & Conditions:

  • The positions/requirements are purely on contract basis on consolidated emoluments, initially for a period up to 01 (One) year or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The selected candidates may be assigned to another project based on organizational requirement.

  • Contract may be considered for extension for a further period based on performance of the employee & requirement and duration of project.

  • The candidates engaged under this shall be on contract and shall not derive any right or claim to have a regular post/appointment in C-DAC.

  • C-DAC is involved in projects at various location across the India, hence a selected candidate may be deputed or transferred from one project to another as per organizational requirement at any project location across in India.
     

Qualifications:

  • All the qualifications should be from approved/ recognized universities/ deemed universities/ institutes. Courses offered by autonomous institutions should be recognized as equivalent to the relevant courses approved/recognized by Association of Indian universities (AIU/UGC/AICTE). And for such autonomous institute's course(s) submission of equivalency certificate is mandatory at the time of selection process, the onus of which rests upon the candidate, failing which the candidature of such candidates is liable to be rejected.

  • Similarly, candidates with any other equivalent qualifications, than the one notified in the advertisement should invariably supported by an equivalency certificate issued by the Competent Authority, failing which applications of such candidates shall summarily be rejected without any further notice/ communication.

  • In case any University/Institution or college is following an evaluation system of CGPA/DGPA/OGPA or letter grade, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application form as per the norms adopted by the respective University/ Institute. It is mandatory for the candidate to submit proof of percentage (%) issued by University/Institution/College and awarded class along with the degree certificate.

  • In respect of equivalent clause in essential qualifications, submission of equivalency certificate duly authenticated by the appropriate authority is mandatory at the time of interview and the onus for submitting the same purely rests upon the candidates, failing which the application is liable to be rejected.
     

Reservations: 

  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWSs will be applicable as per Govt. of India norms, as applicable to C-DAC.

  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories should produce the original certificates at the time of certificate verification, if called for, issued by competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by DoPT Government of India, failing which such candidates will not be allowed to attend the selection process against reserved posts and will not be allowed to claim the benefits of reservation.

  • In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India which specifically contain the clause that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer section is required to be produced. The OBC candidates who belong to "CREAMY LAYER" are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as "General".

  • The candidates applying under PwD category are required to submit the Disability Certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training vide OM No.36035/3/2004-Estt (Res) dated 29.12.2005 as amended from time to time. Candidates having disability of 40% or more only are eligible for reservation under PwD category.

  • The candidates applying under Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) category are required to submit Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority in the prescribed format as given in Annexure-I of DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31st January 2019 as amended / modified from time to time.

Relaxation / Age Limit:

 

 

  • The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and experience shall be the closing date prescribed for online registration of applications

  • SSLC/SSC/ISC mark sheet/certificate and any other valid document will be considered as proof of date of birth.

  • The application of the candidates not meeting the prescribed age criteria will be rejected/cancelled without any prior intimation.

  • Applicants belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)/ PWD/ Ex-servicemen/ would be eligible for relaxations as per rules.

  • Government employees will be eligible for relaxation in age by 5 years including other age relaxations

  • As per GOI provisions, age relaxation up to 05 years (including all other age relaxations) is applicable for Widows, Divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from Husbands who are not remarried. Candidates eligible for age relaxation under this category would be required to produce following documentary evidence:

    1. In case of Widow, Death Certificate of her husband together with the Affidavit that she has not remarried since.
    2. In case of divorced Women and Women judicially separated from their husbands, a certified copy of the judgment/decree of the appropriate court to prove the fact of divorce or the judicial separation, as the case may be, with an affidavit in respect of divorced women that they have not remarried since.


  • Age relaxation to PwD category: Age relaxation as per Government of India instructions is allowed (including all other age relaxation in respect of the posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped persons for appointment to Below Group 'A' posts/services. The persons claiming age relaxation under this category would be required to produce a certificate in prescribed proforma in support of their claims clearly indicating that the degree of physical disability is 40% or more. In any case, the appointment of these candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in accordance with the standards of medical fitness as prescribed by the Government for the respective posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment by Selection.

  • The Economically Weaker Sections' Certificate should be strictly in the format prescribed by DoPT. The format is available on the website www.persmin.nic.in

  • For Candidates claiming, SC / ST / OBC/PwD/EWS status, Original Caste Certificate/Valid OBC Non Creamy layer Certificate/Medical certificate/Income and Asset certificate as the case may be, from the Competent Authority in the format prescribed for Central Government Offices, need to submit when called for certificate verification.
     

Selection Procedure:


  • Candidate should meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement.

  • The qualification and experience prescribed, are the minimum requirements and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates entitled to be called for written test and /or selection process.

  • There will be an initial screening based on the academic and other parameters declared in the online application. The selection process shall be carried out based on Centre requirements and only shortlisted candidates will be considered for further selection process.

  • The management reserves the right to increase/alter the minimum eligibility criteria/cut off limits, in the event of the number of applicants are more, for any post(s), at its discretion. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic credentials, experience profile, written test marks (if any), performance in the interview and such other selection processes/parameters, as adopted and deemed fit by management.

  • Mere application and fulfilment of the mentioned qualifications etc. does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test/interview. C-DAC may restrict the number of candidates to be called to participate in interview/selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidate should, therefore, furnish all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed.

  • All information submitted in the application will be verified with the original documents at the time of certificate verification or at the any stage of the recruitment process. If any documents/information provided by the candidate is found to be false or incorrect or non- conformity with the eligibility criteria, then his/her candidature is liable to be rejected/cancelled at any stage of the recruitment and selection process without any prior intimation.

  • The candidature is also liable for rejection at any stage if C-DAC comes across any evidence/knowledge at the qualifications, experience and any other particular indicated in the application/other forms/formats are not recognized/false misleading and/or amount to suppression of information/particulars which should have been brought to the notice of C-DAC.

Test details:

 

  • Selection shall be through a written test followed by personal interview.

  • Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be informed by e-mail, to appear for a test (written/online) / and subsequent interview. The test will be objective / descriptive type. The question paper will contain questions from the following areas to assess the candidate's proficiency in:-

    Part-A : General Aptitude, Mental Ability and Reasoning (Logical reasoning).
    Part-B : English, Letter drafting and Short essays on General Topics.
    Part-C : Knowledge in the specific domain to which selection is made /work experience.

  • The list of successful/shortlisted candidates on the basis of written test would be uploaded on CDAC website. Management reserves the right to change/modify the selection process at any time, during the process, at its discretion. The decision of the management will be final and binding.
     

Experience:

  • Only those experiences which are relevant and acquired after the passing date of the qualifying qualification will be considered. The decision of C-DAC in this regard will be final and binding.

  • Academy/Teaching/Research work, experience in non-profit organization, internship/project work placements are part of academic curriculum and will not be considered as experience, unless specified.

  • The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting/ guest faculty / trainee / intern will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for short listing the candidates for written test/ interview.

  • Candidate should possess experience certificates/documents issued by the previous and present employer clearly indicating period of employment, salary drawn and post held.

  • The decision of C-DAC with respect to experience will be final. Work experience indicated without supporting documents will not be considered and is liable to be rejected/cancelled without any prior intimation.
     

Important points to note:

  1. It is the responsibility of the candidates to assess his/her own eligibility for the post for which he/she is applying in accordance with the advertisement. In case, it is found at any point of time in future during the process of selection or even after appointment that the candidate was not eligible as per prescribed qualification, experience etc., which could not be found at the time of selection due to whatever circumstances, his/her candidature/appointment shall be liable to be cancelled/terminated as the case may be without giving any notice.

  2. Selected candidates will be eligible to apply for different / higher posts, on contract on consolidated pay basis, against internal notifications issued from time to time.

  3. In case of internal candidates, please note that, selected candidates will have to resign from the current services and join for the selected posts as fresh employees.

  4. Candidates must be in sound health and ready to undergo Pre- Employment Medical Examination as per C-DAC norms.

  5. At the time of interview they should bring original certificates of qualifications and experience and a self-attested photocopy of the same. SC / ST/ OBC/EWS candidates should submit necessary certificates issued by competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India amended from time to time, failing which such candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview / selection process against reserved posts and will not be allowed to claim the relaxations applicable in case of reservation.

  6. In case any ambiguity/dispute arises on account of interpretation of version other than English, English version will prevail.

  7. Candidates are not required to send print out of application or any other documents in hard copy to C-DAC.

  8. Only Short-listed candidates will be allowed/called for written test/ interview. Candidates will be informed by email only and no separate communication will be sent.

  9. Mere issue of call letter for written test/interview will not imply acceptance of candidature or selection for the post.

  11. Kindly note that the Centre has not authorized any agent/ agency for representing C-DAC for anything related to recruitment or its processes.

  12. C-DAC reserves the right to cancel or introduce any personal interview/other selection process. C-DAC also reserve the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the recruitment process and / or the selection process without assigning any reasons.

  13. C-DAC reserves the right to fill/not fill up the post or even to cancel the whole or part of the recruitment without assigning any reason thereof.

  14. All the posts will be filled as per the applicable Recruitment Rules/ Guidelines of C-DAC.

  16. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification for selection.

  17. The person selected for contract appointment will not have any claim or right for his/her continuity in service, regularization or automatic extension of the term of contract.

  18. These posts are transferable from one project to another.
