System Administration
- Knowledge of Linux*, Windows operating systems, Knowledge of Virtualized software environments, storage (NAS and SAN), Servers, hardware etc. Knowledge of Cloud environment and operations is desirable.
- Understanding of various file systems like NFS, CIFS, HDFS
- Good understanding of Linux internals is essential
- Experience of setting-up of HA, load balancing, clustering
- Experience of one or two backup software's
- Hands-on knowledge of Server recovery, malware and AV softwares.
- Experience in handling/setup of Linux based E-mail systems and administration
- Creation of software repositories for development environment
- Hands-on experience in configuring HW and SW RAID systems on servers, disk controllers with enclosures
- Knowledge of Storage Area Network, FC, iSCSI
- Experience in virtualized data center deployments using any of VMware, Azure, QEMU-KVM is essential. Experience in cloud orchestration is desired
- Knowledge or experience is setup of distributed systems like database clusters, Hadoop, SOLR/Elastic Search
- Certificates desired : Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Oracle Linux System Administrator (Oracle), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Network Administration
- Understanding of network IT hardware including routers, switches, wireless devices
- Knowledge of IPv4 & IPv6 (1/10/40 Gbe) addressing schema, routing protocols and other common protocols and services like DHCP, DNS, LDAP, NFS, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, IP Tables, SSL & IPsec etc.
- Working knowledge of Server operating systems such Windows 2008, 2012, Linux (enterprise distributions).
- Understanding of network monitoring services like Nagios, Cacti, MRTG etc. and scripting for external modules
- Knowledge of security maintenance using encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-virus. Anti-APT, Knowledge of ISP / Communication providers and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Shell, Python or Perl Scripting skills.
- Understanding and experience of SD-WAN will be an added advantage
- Knowledge or experience in NOC & SOC functioning, operations, and setup
- Knowledge of multi-tier ethernet architecture principals and design
- Day to day administration of Network devices, Patch updation, log analysis, configuring of Network devices like Firewalls and associated devices.
- Network device and service monitoring for HA
- Configuration of VPNs, VLANs and supporting System Administration.
- Internet and MPLS connectivity monitoring and routing of traffic.
- Management and monitoring of SD-WAN policy, routes and infrastructure
- Installing and configuring computer networks and systems
- Identifying and solving any problems that arise with DC networks and systems
- Maintaining existing software and hardware and firmware upgrades.
- Continuous monitoring of advisories issued by CERT-IN, assessment of their impact on systems and corrective measure
- Monitoring computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved
- Working with IT support personnel and issue escalation
- Providing network administration and support to end users and in DC

System Administration
- Day to day administration of Windows / Linux File / print servers, Cloud infrastructure, webhosting. Mail Administration, Analyzing of system logs, System service and health monitoring.
- Installation and configuration of OS, Storage configuration of NAS and SAN. Managing of Backup infrastructure, Patch updation etc.
- Administration of distributed systems (Hadoop, SOLR/Elastic Search)
- Administration of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Reporting of incidence on daily basis, escalation to higher levels and report preparation.
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
- Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
- Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
- Create and verify backups of data
- Respond to and resolve help desk requests
- Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
- Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
- Review application and system logs for failure events, anomaly behavior
- Install and test computer-related equipment
