Minister of electronics and information technology Ravishankar Prasad inaugurated e-Hastakshar, a digital India initiative to link e-signatures with Aadhaar numbers for official document authentication.

“The Pune Municipal Corporation will be the first to use e-hastakshar for documents. This will be a part of the smart city mission that Pune has undertaken.The entire project was made indigenously, reducing the cost by at least a factor of 2.5,“ said Rajat Moona, the director-general of C-DAC.
